“(...) Informe de hechos vividos se estructuró como una simulación de reportajes periodísticos audiovisuales sobre acontecimientos omitidos por la prensa local. El sentido de la pieza no se cifraba en la envergadura de los sucesos representados; la elección de estos dependía exclusivamente de su vigencia en el imaginario popular. Cierta pero no comprobada, la información tenía como fuente primaria el rumor. Al revestirse con los códigos visuales y la identidad de la televisión nacional, el relato adquiría una noción legitimada de Verdad. De este modo, la obra evidenciaba la hibridación entre la narración oral y la mediática, tensionando las fuentes alternativas y oficiales con las que se construye la memoria del presente histórico.
Los "Informes" de Jesús Hernández portaban, además, un subtexto crítico: señalaban en clave subliminal cómo el rumor callejero —la "bola"— había adquirido en Cuba un carácter mediático. Lejos de haberse oficializado, la red alternativa del disenso civil dejaba de ser estrictamente verbal para transformarse en una retícula híbrida que combinaba los modos tradicionales de comunicación con formas contemporáneas de producción e intercambio de información. Bajo este escenario, un elemento permanecía invariable: la apropiación artística de las fisuras generadas por estos vínculos."

"(...) Informe de hechos vividos (Report of Lived Events) was structured as a simulation of audiovisual news reports documenting events omitted by the local press. The meaning of the piece did not reside in the scale of the depicted events; their selection depended exclusively on their currency within the popular imaginary. True yet unverified, the information possessed the street rumor as its primary source. By assuming the visual codes and identity of national television, the narrative acquired a legitimized notion of Truth. Thus, the work highlighted the hybridization between oral and media narratives, placing in tension the alternative and official sources through which the memory of the historical present is constructed.
The "Reports" by Jesús Hernández carried an additional critical subtext: they signaled, in a subliminal key, how the street rumor—the "bola"—had acquired a media character in Cuba. Far from being officialized, the alternative network of civil dissent ceased to be strictly verbal, transforming into a hybrid reticle that merged traditional modes of communication with contemporary forms of information production and exchange. Within this scenario, one element remained unchanged: the artistic appropriation of the fissures generated by these links.
